            He graduated from the Bachelor's degree programme in Social Work at the Faculty of Educati
            University of West Bohemia in Plzeň, and then from the Master's degree programme in Social

            Social Work at the Faculty of Social Studies of Masaryk University in Brno, where he compl
            studies in the same field in the following years.


            His long-term research interests include qualitative research in the areas of foster famil
            deinstitutionalization, the boundaries of professional social work practice, human develop
            being. He defended his dissertation on "Potentiality of children in foster family care" an

            worked in social work practice as a social worker in foster family care in a non-governmen
            organization in charge of social protection of children.
