Dear students, teachers, and everyone at the faculty,
we would like to invite you to the renewed "Marathon Thursdays" event, which will take place on November 20th in our Marathon café. The event continues the tradition of joint faculty-wide Thursday meetings at Marathon, which took place in the old days before COVID a few times per semester and fostered faculty spirit and community. It is an informal, friendly gathering open to all students, teachers, and employees from all study programs and departments for joint discussion and refreshments.
The topic will be community activities at the faculty, how our community functions, and how it could work better. We will start with a joint debate of teachers and students at 7:00 p.m., and we hope that this discussion will inspire further conversations at the tables until closing time. For this occasion, closing time will be moved to 10:00 p.m. (and we kindly ask you to respect this). The organized discussion will be mainly in Czech, but you are welcomed to join us.
