Dear faculty teachers, colleagues, and students,

Spring is slowly making its presence felt, and the traditional date for our faculty outing is approaching; this year, it will take place on Wednesday, May 13. This year, we’ll be heading in a similar direction as last year, just a little further. We’ll be taking an easy 10-kilometer hike from Stará Huť near Dobříš to Nový Knín. Along the way, we’ll stop at the Karel Čapek Memorial, walk part of the Karel Čapek Nature Trail, and follow the yellow trail through the forest and along the Kocába River to the town of Nový Knín, where we’ll have a chance to refresh ourselves and sit together at one of the local restaurants. We will depart from Prague on bus no. 395 at 9:15 a.m. from Smíchov Station. Back from Nový Knín, direct bus no. 361 runs to Smíchov Station every hour, with additional connections requiring a transfer in Dobříš in between.
