Abstract:

THE UNIVERSAL CHURCH AND THE PARTICULAR CHURCH

The church of Christ lives in and through particular churches. The universal church is derived from them and manifests itself above all through their koinonia. Particular churches, with various cultural identities, ranging from a fellowship around the Lord’s table, through a community led by a bishop (some regard this as essential), to larger groupings influenced by various historical and cultural factors — they can all meet together in one place and complement one another. Some Christians already take it for granted that the various denominations and their regional sections belong to the full communion of particular churches, and that it is enough for them to recognise one another. Catholics and other similarly oriented churches believe that it is still necessary for the participant churches to take some further steps to come closer to each other. Since today the Catholics, too, draw a distinction between faith and the way it has been expressed under various historical conditions, there is hope that full mutual recognition will soon bring about the unity of the one church of Christ, while preserving its internal plurality.

Abstract:

KEIN HÄNGEN ALS NEGATIVE GRUNDLAGE DER KLASSISCHEN RELIGIONEN

„Kein Hängen, selbst am Heiligsten nicht“, diese Tagebuch - Worte der ungarischen Nonne Margareta Maria Mester charakterisieren nicht nur das dynamische Prinzip der christlichen Frömmigkeit, sondern auch die jenigen noetisch konvergierenden Anstrengungen aller "großen Religionen", die darauf zielen wollen, völlig unabhängig von allen Entitäten der Welt zu sein. Es geht also nicht nur um die monotheistischen Systeme, sondern auch um die großen religiös philosophischen Karma - Konzepte (wieder Buddhismus u . a .). Außer acht müssen jedenfalls verschiedene esoterische Geistesströmungen bleiben, da diese das menschliche innere mit mystisch - mythisch gefärbten Vorstellungen dinglicher Art infizieren möchten. Dasselbe gilt über die Sekten und deren verdinglichte Eschatologizität. — Worin besteht das echte Kriterium der Echtheit (Wahrhaftigkeit) einer Religion? Die unechten (unwahrhaftigen) Religionen hängen am naturhaften oder dinglich verstandenen "Göttlichen" (z. B. die idolartige Verehrung der Vegetation). Die echten (wahrhaftigen) religiösen Systeme erweisen sich ebenso in ihrer Ethik wie auch in ihren noetischen Spekulationen als völlig unabhängig - von allen Entitäten "göttlicher" oder weltlicher Natur. — Die Scheidelinie zwischen den Hängen- und Nichthängenreligionen und deren Frömmigkeit(en) läuft freilich quer durch die einzelnen Systeme. — Der Glaube "an Gott" hat mit einem Glauben an eine gegenständlich verfaßte Gottheit gar nichts zu tun. — Die Grenze zwischen der Gegenständlichkeit und Nicht - Gegenständlichkeit bewacht im Judentum das zweite Wort des Dekalogs (Ex 20, 4—6), die Institution des Schabbats (Ex 20, 8—11) und andere Halakhot oder einige kultische Einrichtungen. Im Buddhismus repräsentieren das prinzipielle Nichthängen konkrete Karman - Schritte (buddhistische "praxis pietatis"), die auche in Hängen an Buddha selbst zu überwinden weiß — darauf zielt offenbar meta - logischerweise die Meta - Kategorie "Nirvana" hin — Im Christentum dienen als Katalysatoren der un-diglichen Idee des einen = einzigen = absolut freien Gottes (JHWH) die Tätigkeiten von Jesus, besonders dessen (Berg)predigt, die durch das Kreuz-Werk dieses "Gottessohnes" verifiziert worden ist, dann aber auch die von Jesus und Paulus verkündigte und empfohlene Freiheit von allen Traditionen und Vorstellungen, was im Bereich der Ethik aktuell appliziert werden sollte.

Abstract:

DIE HERAUSFORDERUNG DES JUDAISMUS IM WERK VON EMMANUEL LEVINAS

Als gläubiger jüdischer Philosph stellt E. Levinas eine Herausforderung für die Christen dar. Der Autor des Aufsatzes widmet seine Aufmerksamkeit der metaphysischen Verankerung von Levinas’ Ethik in der Offenbarung, in der Tora, und er beschäftigt sich mit der Methode der biblischen Exegese bei Levinas. Der Humanismus der Tora mündet in der Betonung der Gerechtigkeit und in der Philosophie des menschlichen Antlitzes. Der Aufsatz erwähnt Levinas’ Messias Vorstellungen und seine Kritik am Quietismus des Christentums.

WOFÜR MÖCHTE ICH ALS TSCHECHISCHER EVANGELISCHE DEN TSCHECHISCHEN KATHOLIKEN UM VERGEBUNG BITTEN

Während seines letzten Besuches in Tschechien bat der Papst Johannes Paulus II. die tschechischen Protestanten um Vergebung dessen, was ihnen die katholische Kirche an Übel getan hatte. Der Verfasser, beunruhigt dadurch, daß die Vertreter unserer evangelischen Kirchen diese Bitte unbeantwortet ließen, bittet seine katholischen Mitchristen um Vergebung dessen, was ihnen seine Kirche an Übel getan hatte. Erster, systematisch-theologischer Teil, Der Protestant als Christ, bringt Anregungen in diese Richtung aus dem Gedanken gut Josef L. Hromádka's; zweiter, historisch-theologischer Teil, Der tschechische Protestant als tschechischer Christ, benennt zahlreiche problematische Punkte, einen Mangel an Katholizität, teilweise sogar an Gegenwart des tschechischen Protestantismus. Dritter Teil, Der tschechische Protestant und der tschechische Katholik anno Domini 1996, proklamiert das Finde des Proselytismus in bikonfessionellen Tschechien.

Abstract:

HEBREW ESSENES—ARAMAIC CHRISTIANS

As now all Qumran manuscript finds are accessible, it can be seen that the original Essene texts were written in Hebrew; rules, Bible interpretations as well as liturgies and poetry. Apparently the Essene members had to learn Hebrew, the sacred language, which was used in their community. The Aramaic texts, mostly para-biblical, were probably brought to the Qumran community from outside. In the Greek New Testament there are Aramaic words, even the quotation from Psalm 22:2 is in Aramaic, not in the original Hevrew. This preference for Aramaic, the language of Jesus, continued for some time in the Early Christianity. The Epistle to the Hebrews was most probably addressed to Essenes.

UMWELTSCHUTZ IM RAHMEN EINES NEUKONZEPTS VON WIRTSCHAFT UND GESELLSCHAFT

Der Verfasser ist auf der Suche nach einer Umorientierung angesichts der Umweltskrise, die langfristig durch den Drang nach dem Wirtschaftswachstum gekennzeichnet ist. Er weist auf die Sinnkrise des quantitativen wirtschaftlichen Wachstums hin (1), erörtert dann die Alternative des qualitativen Wachstums (II), den Zeithorizont des qualitativen Wachstums (III), geht zum "Wachstumszwang" und dessen Überwindung über (IV), schließt wichtige Bemerkungungen zum Thema: Eigenarbeit und Lohnarbeit an (V), und am Ende seiner denkwürdigen Studie, die in der Festgabe für Arthur Rieh, Christliche Wirtschaftsethik vor neuen Aufgaben, Herausgeber: Theodor Strohin, Theologischer Verlag Zürich 1980, zu finden ist, betont er die Partnerschaft als Voraussetzung des Übergangs zum qualitativen Wachstum.
