Internal Criteria of ETF for Selecting Applicants for Study Abroad Scholarships
These are the criteria used by the Selection Committee when deciding which students of the Protestant Theological Faculty (ETF) will be sent abroad for study.
A) Absolute Criteria
Students may be sent abroad through ETF scholarships if they:
Are enrolled as regular students of Charles University ETF (full-time or part-time study).
Have completed at least two semesters:
Master’s program students – after completing the 2nd semester.
Bachelor’s program students – after completing the 2nd semester.
Doctoral students – based on recommendation from their supervisor.
Have fulfilled all study obligations and are properly enrolled in the corresponding semester.
Demonstrate sufficient language proficiency for the destination country:
Pass the language test organized by the International Office, or
Provide a certificate proving language skills at an acceptable level.
Submit a study plan for their stay abroad.
Have no health condition that would prevent studying abroad.
B) Secondary Criteria
If there are more candidates meeting the absolute criteria than available scholarships, or if several candidates apply for the same scholarship, the committee will consider:
Previous study abroad experience (through the International Office).
Current semester of study.
For church scholarships: membership in a church or relationship to the church.
Level of academic performance.
Level of language proficiency.
The Dean may grant exceptions in all cases.
