On Friday, October 4, the opening of the exhibition “Sources of Spiritual Life: Texts and Art in Conversation” took place in the Jabok Library.
The exhibition was a joint project of first year students and graduates of the Theology of Christian Traditions program and the Studio of Didactic Illustration of Renata Fučíková at Sutnarka in Pilsen. The opening was part of the international conference "Beyond Wars and Anathemas: Hermeneutics of Conflict Resolution in Different Theological Traditions," organized by the UNCE research team under the leadership of Ivana Noble.
The opening also included the launch of the book “Sources of Spiritual Life: Texts and Art in Conversation” authored by students from both universities and edited by Zdenko Širka and Eva Bartošová. The book was christened by its conceptual architects Ivana Noble and Renáta Fučíková. The book was published by Sutnarbooks with the financial support of the Věra Třebická-Řivnáčová Foundation.
The musical part of the exhibition opening was provided by maestro Viktor Mráček, who played Jewish miniatures for solo cello by Tomáš Novotný, and a duet by Ingrid Puskajlerová and Petr Jandejsek with the song Greensleeves.
