From May 29 to 31, our faculty hosted already the fifth annual seminar of our students and students from the University of Marburg as part of the "Prague-Marburg Summer School of Theology: At the Limit", led by Prof. Malte D. Krüger (Marburg) and Doc. Petr Gallus (Prague).
This time, the theme was the latest book by Cambridge philosopher and theologian Douglas Hedley: The Iconic Imagination. Twenty-two participants, including people from Czechia, Germany, Slovakia, Ukraine, USA, and China, intensively discussed issues related to imagination, art, external and internal images, and their ability to mediate transcendence, as proposed by Hedley. The seminar also included visits to two exhibitions, a walk through Prague, and, of course, lively evening discussions.
(And if you don't already know, Prof. Hedley was also one of the victims of Philomena Cunk's questions).
