Holy Places in Unholy Times

On Friday, May 30, 2025, a round table on the topic of “Holy Places in Unholy Times” took place at the Hybernská Campus. Moderators Ivana Noble and Katerina Kočandrle Bauer invited Anne-Marie Reijnen (Paris), Saida Mirsadri (Bonn), Sister Maria Farouza Maximos (Jerusalem) and Sylvia Wittmann (Prague) to join the international and interfaith panel. The speakers explored the sources of holiness, its ambivalent nature and ways of bringing elements of holiness into everyday life.

The roundtable was organized by the Centre for the Care for the Soul in cooperation with Protestant Theological Faculty of Charles University within the research grants “Beyond Security: The Role of Conflict in Resilience-Building” (No.: CZ.02.01.01/00/22_008/0004595) and “Theological Anthropology in Intercultural Perspective” (No. UNCE/24/SSH/019).
