Senior Lecturer in the Department of Social Work

He graduated from the Bachelor's degree programme in Social Work at the Faculty of Education of the University of West Bohemia in Plzeň, and then from the Master's degree programme in Social Policy and Social Work at the Faculty of Social Studies of Masaryk University in Brno, where he completed his doctoral studies in the same field in the following years.

His long-term research interests include qualitative research in the areas of foster family care, deinstitutionalization, the boundaries of professional social work practice, human development and well-being. He defended his dissertation on "Potentiality of children in foster family care" and previously also worked in social work practice as a social worker in foster family care in a non-governmental non-profit organization in charge of social protection of children.
