Course registration
IMPORTANT
Each student MUST take care of the online enrolment to be able to log into SIS - without SIS access, it will not be possible to register for courses.
This step is part of the process of obtaining your Charles University student ID card.
You can only register for the course during the registration period and only after we have officially enrolled you in our SIS system!
You will not be able to register until we have entered you into the system (this is all done in advance of our orientation week; you will not be able to register before then).
To log in to SIS, you must have your Charles University student credentials.
You will receive this information upon your arrival at the UK POINT and during our Orientation week/s
CAS - Charles University Authentication Service
Central authentication service is used to authenticate users by usernanme and password for:
-
Charles University Information system applications,
-
faculty information systems and computing facilities,
-
setting secondary password in the following systems:
-
eduroam and dorms internet access,
-
-

eduID.cz, that enables access to many service providers, most notably:
-
medical learning portals of
-
e-learning system
Moodle (You can log in once you have obtained your CUNI/CAS student login account (we will help you with this during the orientation programs))
Two-Factor Authentication for CAS
Two-factor authentication is a simple and effective way to better protect your university account, which you use for accessing services like SIS or Microsoft 365. Besides your password, you will need to confirm your identity through a mobile application – so even if someone discovers your password, they won't be able to access your account without the second step.
Activation Process
Activation takes just a few minutes and significantly increases the security of your data. Moreover, some applications will soon require two-factor authentication, so we recommend enabling it as soon as possible.
You can use other applications or methods as the second factor, but here we will show the setup with the CU Key application. You can also use Google Authenticator or another app. However, please do not use SMS verification unless absolutely necessary, for example, if you don't have smartphone.
CU Key
The CU Key mobile app was developed to increase the security of the CAS user account.
With thanks to that, users can easily and reliably verify their identity when signing up for university services.
First, install the CU Key application on your phone: CU Key: info LINK

Charles University Student Cards
In order to get access to the Charles university facilities, you will need a
Charles University Student Card, which can be issued to you in one of our Card Service Centres. The Student Card enables you to get a public transport discount as well as to use university libraries, dining halls, study rooms, computer rooms, internet, etc.
There are two main types of the student card:
1. CU Student card (free of charge)
2. Student card with an ISIC licence (for an extra charge) that enables you to get discounts in theatres, cinemas, bookshops, sport centres, and some restaurants.
Details related to the cards can be found here. The discounts covered by the ISIC card can be researched here.
Rules for Student Discounts on Prague Public Transport (PID)
As of January 1, 2026, the Prague Public Transport Authority (PID) has changed the rules for applying student discounts. Please note that it is no longer possible to use a regular CU student card as proof of eligibility for the discount. To help you navigate the new process, we have prepared a step-by-step guide on how to successfully obtain your student discount.
Please refer to the manual for detailed instructions.
Canteens / How can I eat in the UK canteen?
Students eat through their catering account within the Kredit system (MobilKredit, WebKredit apps). A catering account is automatically created for students (when they are active students at CU).
Each meal account is linked to an active ISIC card. The card is used to identify the boarder in the canteen.
Where do I get the login details for my meal account?
Web login credentials will be generated for you at each canteen, cafeteria, or outlet where a cash register is located.
Where do I get credit for meals?
You can top up the credit for buying or ordering food in the canteen directly at the checkout or online directly in the app.
