The Dean of the Faculty of Protestant Theology, Charles University in Prague invites applications for the position of

assistant professor in Systematic Theology and Theological Ethics

for the bachelor’s and master’s degree program in Protestant Theology.

Workload: full (1.0)

Requirements:

• Ph.D. in Theology; a degree in Protestant Theology is a welcome advantage;

• ability to teach in English,

• proposal of a grant project, which the candidate will be able to submit to, e.g., the Czech Science Foundation (standard projects).

Experience and publications in the field of Protestant Systematic Theology and/or Theological Ethics are also an advantage.

Job description:

• Teaching in the English bachelor’s and master’s program in Protestant Theology, courses in Systematic Theology (0.5) and Theological Ethics (0.5)

• Supervising bachelor and master theses in both disciplines,

• Research and publishing activities,

• Other activities corresponding to the position according to the conditions of Charles University.

• a fixed-term contract for a period of 5 years,

• salary classification according to the internal salary regulations of Charles University (position AP2: 39 000,- CZK brutto),

Start date: February 1, 2027 or by agreement.
