Ve dnech 9. a 13. října jsme měli příležitost představit nově vydanou knihu Encountering Culture Theologically, která vyšla jako Festschrift na počest prof. Ivany Noble.
Publikace je výrazem uznání za její dlouholetou pedagogickou, vědeckou a publikační činnost. Mezinárodní kolektiv autorek a autorů v ní rozvíjí témata, jež jsou s prací Ivany Noble úzce spojena: vztah teologie a kultury, ekumenický dialog, spiritualitu, otázky identity i hledání porozumění v nábožensky a kulturně pluralitním světě.
Slavnostní předání knihy proběhlo 9. října a dne 13. října byla publikace představena také akademické obci na půdě Evangelické teologické fakulty UK při setkání uspořádaném u příležitosti životního jubilea Ivany Noble a Lucie Kopecké, kde měli přítomní možnost seznámit se s jejím obsahem i příběhem jejího vzniku.
Kniha Encountering Culture Theologically ukazuje šíři a mezinárodní dosah díla Ivany Noble a zároveň otevírá nové pohledy na promýšlení vztahu mezi teologií a kulturou, které patří mezi klíčová témata současné teologické reflexe.
Prof. Ivaně Noble srdečně gratulujeme a přejeme knize řadu pozorných čtenářů.

On October 9th and 13th, we had the opportunity to present the newly published volume Encountering Culture Theologically, a Festschrift in honour of Professor Ivana Noble.
The publication is a tribute to her many years of teaching, research, and scholarly publishing. Bringing together an international group of contributors, the volume explores themes that have long been central to Ivana Noble’s work: the relationship between theology and culture, ecumenical dialogue, spirituality, questions of identity, and the search for understanding in a religiously and culturally plural world.
The book was formally presented to Ivana Noble on October 9th. On 13th of October, it was introduced to the academic community of the Protestant Theological Faculty of Charles University during a gathering held on the occasion of the joint jubilee celebration of Ivana Noble and Lucie Kopecká, where participants had the opportunity to learn more about both the volume’s content and the story behind its creation.
Encountering Culture Theologically demonstrates the breadth and international impact of Ivana Noble’s scholarship while opening new perspectives on the relationship between theology and culture, one of the key concerns of contemporary theological reflection.
We warmly congratulate Professor Ivana Noble and wish the book many engaged and attentive readers.
